Condensing anti corrosion coating WSH application

How does it work?

The WSH polyisobutene coating is designed for wet application in splash zones, on sweating pipes, and submerged applications. It combines a fully amorphous and non-reactive polyisobutene base coating with additives that absorb and contain residual water molecules left trapped between the coating and the substrate after application. This adjusted polyisobutene compound consequently provides all the ease and superior performance of our other polyisobutene coatings, while being specially suited to application on wet surfaces without needing specific weather conditions or operational shut-downs for application. The WSH coating is used heavily on offshore platforms, on cool pipes in midstream and downstream plants and stations, and on dock-pilings.

WSH is:

  • Designed to be applied on wet or submerged substrates by hand
  • Useable as a maintenance coating on assets already in use
  • Possibly the only coating currently able to provide uncompromised corrosion protection without any shut-down or special setup required
  • Available from IESG’s Houston warehouse in rolls of 33′ x 4″, 12″, or 24″ wide
