Polyisobutene (PIB) Aluclad Wrappingband

PIB Aluclad: A flexible wrap-around cladding material suited for use in atmospheric conditions over insulation materials in (petro-)chemical, building, and HVAC applications. It can also be used to seal voids and seams in existing aluminium, stainless steel and composite cladding materials.

Aluclad FR consists of a reinforced Aluminium backing combined with a non-crystalline, low-viscosity, non-crosslinked (fully amorphous), pure homopolymer Polyisobutylene-based self-bonding sealant with flame retardant properties. The reinforced Aluminium backing provides elementary vapour barrier properties, while the Polyisobutylene-based self-bonding sealant provides an excellent bond to all types of substrates as well as to its own backing, thereby eliminating the risk of water vapour ingress at the overlaps.
